If you are a mom it will be in your best interest to find a fellow mom with a child/children close in age to your own.
When you get together you will have opportunities to talk about all of the things that make you happy but mostly you’ll talk about the things that drive you insane about your husband/job/child/life in general and then you will get to hear that person tell you the EXACT SAME THINGS. And, while you’re sitting there discussing these things, and your toddlers are both trying to climb the walls of the booth where you’re trying to sit and each lunch, you will smile inside (and probably outside too) and feel 100% better that you’re not alone.
And the next time you want to drop your overtired, hollering from the back seat because you’re not playing DORA! on the car stereo, shoe taking off two-year-old on the side of the street you will smile again because you know you wouldn’t want life any other way.
But it still doesn’t change the fact that in that moment you’d like to leave them on the side of the road.
